Most motion design courses teach you software. ISOM teaches you how to think originally.
There's a difference between a video editor who learned After Effects and a motion designer who earns with it. That difference isn't tutorials watched or hours logged. It's taste — knowing why a motion feels right, not just which keyframes to set.
ISOM is a 12-week program for video editors ready to make the jump. Two live sessions every week with Somrat. Real projects reviewed personally. Individual mock client interviews before you go to market.
We take only 50 students per batch, read every application, and review every project. We teach you the craft — and how to sell it. This isn't a course. It's a career shift.
6 phases · 10 weeks · built around the gap between editors and designers
Before you animate anything, you need to learn to see. Most video editors watch great motion work and think: that looks cool. Motion designers watch the same thing and know exactly why it works — and how it was made. Phase 01 turns you into that second person. You'll build real design taste — not by copying trends, but by learning to see the way studios see. Then you'll set up After Effects the right way: layers, pre-comps, nulls, track mattes, blend modes — built like a pro from day one.
This is the phase most courses skip past. We don't. ISOM's 8 principles didn't come from a textbook. They came from real studio work — projects that shipped, clients who paid, and notes that stung. You'll master the graph editor: the one tool that separates motion designers from editors who just happen to use After Effects. Then expressions — the biggest thing holding back most Indian motion designers, and the one thing almost no course here teaches properly. After Phase 02, your motion won't just look right. It'll feel right.
Text isn't just information — in motion design, it's the main character. Phase 03 is built around kinetic typography: words that move with intention, synced to audio, built for a 9:16 screen. You'll also learn the visual language of social content — what stops a scroll, how kinetic energy is built with intention, and how to develop your own visual signature instead of just copying what's trending.
You know how to make great motion. Now you learn to make it fast. Deep Glow. Motion Tools Pro. Animation Composer. Custom shortcuts. Preset systems. Every tool that actually matters in a professional motion design workflow — and none that don't. How to build systems that cut your production time in half without cutting corners. This is the speed studios pay for. And the reason motion designers who work fast earn two to three times more than the ones who don't.
Great animation is half the job. The other half is knowing how to walk into a client call, present your thinking, and walk out with the project. Phase 05 is the business of motion design: how to read a brief, build a moodboard, present styleframes before a single frame is animated. How to price your work for both Indian and global clients. How to close a client without sounding desperate. How to dissect what makes a style viral — and how to make it your own. How to edit your showreel so it gets you hired. You leave with a reel, a portfolio, a pricing structure, and clients in the pipeline.
AI is not replacing motion designers. It's replacing the ones who never learned to think. This phase covers the full AI stack — generative and programmatic. Seedance 2.0, Higgsfield AI, and Kling for footage generation with consistent character and image references. Remotion, Hyperframes, and HeyGen for programmatic workflows that cut production time in half. Everything composited and finished inside After Effects. The result: a pipeline that delivers in 24 hours what used to take a week. This is the unfair advantage skilled motion designers have right now — and it won't last forever.
After your 10 core weeks, we sit with you — one on one. Your reel. Your pricing. Your pitch. A proper mock client interview with our team — people who've been on the hiring side of the table, evaluated hundreds of designers, and closed real deals. They'll tell you exactly where you stand and what to fix before you go to market.
Then two weeks of group sessions on the stuff no one teaches: how to price without second-guessing yourself, find the right clients, have the rate conversation without flinching, and build the kind of confidence that shows up before you open your mouth.

I started editing videos in 2020. Not to build a career. Just to edit my own vlogs.
Then someone told me about Fiverr. And for the first time, I thought — wait, I can actually earn from this?
But nobody told me how. I stumbled through it alone. I paid for course after course — probably 80, maybe 100 of them — and I'll be honest with you: 80% of them were a waste of my money. The knowledge was scattered. Incomplete. And I had to piece it all together by myself, in the dark, while carrying the weight of being an engineering student who needed to earn for his family.
I figured it all out alone.
But I promise you won't have to.
That promise is why ISOM exists. At ISOM, you won't graduate with a knowledge gap. You'll know exactly what to learn, how to learn it, and — most importantly — how to turn that skill into real income. Because I've lived both sides. I know what the craft is worth, and I know what it costs to figure that out alone.
Welcome to ISOM. We're here to build your future.
I've known Somrat for seven years. We did our engineering together at BITS.
He figured it out alone. I took a different path — Unacademy, Relevel, my own startup, an exit, a product manager. Hiring designers. Building teams. Watching how the industry actually treats young creative talent in India.
And trust me — too many of these kids deserve better.
Money has never been my motivation. Impact has. The kind where one person learns a skill, starts earning, and suddenly their parents breathe a little easier. Their siblings start looking up to them. An entire household shifts.
That's the ripple we're chasing.
When Somrat told me about ISOM, I didn't think twice. I quit my job. Because for the first time, I saw a place where everything I'd learned could go toward something that genuinely matters.
You're not joining just another cohort. You're joining two people who've done the work — and now have only one agenda.
To make sure you don't have to figure it out alone.
Welcome to ISOM.
